Grade 4 students in Mlle El-khatib's room created art projects using recycled items they collected from home. This Earth Day activity was a culminating project in their science unit Waste and our World .
The grade four students shared, with many other classes, their fantastic and innovative ideas: a high end fashion store,Sponge Bob, Oilers coasters made of tree cookies, robots made of boxes and milk jugs, a functional turtle bank, a cat bedroom, pencil holders and many other creations. Students explained of what their projects were made, their biodegradability, and reasons why we celebrate Earth Day.
